what started as a partnership between me and my good friend Isaac Levy has widened to a burgeoning class of collaborators including Twin Cities superstars JT Bates (Taylor Swift), Jeremy Ylvisaker (Bon Iver), and Caleb Hinz (Hippo Campus).

Collaborating with my brother, Nick Richter, on all art direction, social media execution, marketing, and album rollout - the Hazelcreak artwork is an extension of the music itself. We filmed a full-length music video on Kodak Super-8 film up north in Ely, Minnesota, developed a visual identity for the band’s imagery including cohesive fonts, color palate, and logo and wordmarks, and worked together to package it all up neatly for delivery to your eyes and ears.

Gopher State released on all streaming platforms on October 1st, 2021.
